MOSCOW, Apr 26 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service ceased on Tuesday administrative proceedings against Google after signing an amicable agreement earlier in April, the watchdog said on Wednesday in a statement.
“We hope Google will fulfill all the obligations imposed by the amicable agreement and will pay the fines shortly,” Deputy Director Sergei Puzyrevsky said.
On April 17, the authority and the U.S. company put an end to an almost two-year court haggling about Google’s dominance on the market of preinstalled application stores on Android devices. The parties also agreed to withdraw all suits from courts.
Google will pay all the penalties imposed, comprising 438 million rubles and two fines of 500,000 rubles, and will fix all breaches.
